A popular comedy movie is entertaining for everyone. Every now and then we just need to sit back, relax and laugh a bit. Here are a few suggestions for some celebrated funny movies that you can download and enjoy tonight.

Amusing motion picture but for adults only, check out “The 40 Year Old Virgin”. Steve Carell plays Andy Sitzer, a cute but sexually innocent 40-year-old man. When his buddies and co-workers find out, they all go on a mission to get him laid. Many amusing mishaps and adventures result.

At the finish he falls in love with Trish, a 40-year-old single mother of three and he discovers that it’s still better to do it with somebody you love. Directed by Judd Apatow and starring Steve Carell, Catherine Keener, Paul Rudd, Seth Rogan, Elizabeth Banks and more. Rated R for persistent sexual content, language and some drug use. Not advised for children or someone clearly upset by sexual situations. From the year 2005.

Next up is a fantastically humorous motion picture, “Dodgeball, A True Underdog Story”. Very amusing but rather silly motion picture about Peter, the owner of Average Joe’s gymnasium and how he must save the gymnasium from being taken over by the Globo Gym Franchise.

Starring Vince Vaughn as Peter, the owner of Average Joe’s gym and Ben Stiller as White Goodman, the president and founder of the gym franchise, Globo Gym. Look out for the unforeseen cameo appearance by Lance Armstrong. Can a group of misfits make a dream come true? Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, from the year 2004.

And the third recommendation is a very amusing movie but it still can’t compete with the TV show upon which it was based. “The Beverly Hillbillies” is a remarkable adaptation of the 1960’s television show of the same name. Jed Clampett is a poor mountaineer who barely keeps his family fed. Then one day he finds the bubbling crude oil on his Arkansas property. He becomes a millionaire and loads up his family to move to Beverly, Hills that is. With swimming pools and movie stars.

Well cast with Jim Varney as Jed Clampett and Cloris Leachman as Granny. Lily Tomlin plays Miss Jane Hathaway. Diedrich Bader plays the part of Jethro Bodine and Erika Eleniak fits the part of Elly Mae Clampett. Directed by Penelope Spheeris, from the year 1993. A great adaptation, yet not anything could be more humorous than the original TV series.
