How To Determine The Right Keyword Density For Your Web Pages

For best search engine placement, you should optimize each of your web page with your important and relevant keywords. Besides placing keywords that pertain to the theme of the content, Keyword density is also an important part of optimizing articles.

Unfortunately, no set of rule is available to indicate how many times a certain keyword should exist in an article or a web page. However, you can still do a little research yourself to find out the right keyword density for your contents.

These days, you can find lots of guides about the right keyword density. But you can get a better result by observing it in the real world. The first step to take is by observing some well-ranked web pages that contain your keywords.

Then you can use a keyword density analyzer to accomplish this task. Such tools allow you to insert a URL in a text box and after clicking a button they will show you how many times a word or a phrase used in a web page. Keyword Density 2-in-1, a density analyzer provided by Nichebot, is an example of such tools that you can use for this purpose. As the name implies, this tool actually consists of two different tools: Multi-URL Density Checker and Comprehensive Density Reporter.

You can use Multi-URL Density Checker to reveal the keyword density of up to five web pages for a particular keyword. This way, revealing the exact number of a certain keyword that exists in your competitors’ web pages can be accomplished easily. If you want to reveal all keyword phrases that exist in a certain web page, Comprehensive Density Reporter is what you need.

You can of course do the above tasks manually. This can also be accomplished by using a word processor that provides ‘Word Count’ and ‘Replace’ functions. The ‘Word Count’ function is used to calculate the total number of words in an article while the ‘Replace’ function will provide a count of a particular word or phrase. However, a keyword density analysis tool will save your valuable time in determining what keywords you should use and how many times the keywords should appear on a web page.

Once again, you can find hundreds of resources and guides recommending the right percentage of a keyword on a web page. However, it will be much better to determine it yourself. This way, you will be more confidence in determining the right keyword density for all of your website contents and articles.
